Dr Andrew Pospielovsky, General Manager.
Joined LFS in June 2006 as General Manager of
AccessBank, with lead responsibility for the day-to-day
management of the bank. Prior to joining LFS,
Dr. Pospielovsky worked for Bannock Consulting
– DAI Europe, advising commercial banks on all
aspects of business lending, with an emphasis
on small and medium businesses. Under Technical
Assistance projects funded by the European Union,
the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development,
the British government’s Department for International
Development and the World Bank, he has worked
with 15 banks in Russia, Bulgaria, Lithuania,
Macedonia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kenya and
Nepal. Dr. Pospielovsky’s areas of expertise include:
strengthening risk management and MIS; developing
loan products, loan review procedures, Application
Processing Systems and Credit Scoring; and advising
on marketing strategies. Prior to joining Bannock/
DAI, Dr. Pospielovsky worked in London as an Emerging
Markets Analyst and a University Lecturer and
has accumulated over 15 years experience, both
professional and academic, in finance, economics
and politics of Eastern Europe and the former
Soviet Union. Dr. Pospielovsky earned his Doctorate
degree from the University of London. He is British
and fluent in English and Russian and able to
communicate in many East-European languages.

Mr Rufat Ismayilov,
Administrative Management.
Joined AccessBank in September 2002 as a Micro
Loan Officer with the first intake of Loan Officers.
Since then he has progressed to the positions
of Senior Loan Officer and Central Branch Manager
before being appointed as the Administrative Manager
and a member of the Management Board in February
2006. As Administrative Manager, Mr. Ismayilov
is responsible for the development of the branch
network, procurement, IT and security. Prior to
joining AccessBank, he worked as a Branch Manager
and Loan Officer for World Vision Azerbaijan.
Mr. Ismayilov is Azeri and is fluent in Azeri,
Russian and English.

Mr. Shakir Rahimov,
Head of the Business Banking Department.
Joined AccessBank in September 2002 as a Micro
Loan Officer. At the end of 2003, he was promoted
to Senior Loan Officer and, in March 2004, he
moved to the newly established Department of Small
and Medium Business Loans. At the end of 2004,
he was named Head of the Small & Medium Business
Loans Department and, for two and a half years,
was responsible for the development of this department.
In April 2008, he was named as the Head of the
Business Banking Department and a member of the
Management Board. Mr. Rahimov is responsible for
micro and SME loans, corporate services and risk
management. He graduated from the Azerbaijan Economic
University and has a Master’s degree in Business
Administration Finance. Mr. Rahimov is Azerbaijani
and fluent in Azeri, Russian and English.

Mr Anar Gasanov,
Retail Banking & Operational Manager.
Joined AccessBank in September 2002 as a Micro
Loan Officer and advanced to the position of Senior
Loan Officer in one year. In the next 6 months
(in March 2004), he was transferred to the newly
established Small and Medium Loans Department.
In January 2005, Mr. Gasanov was appointed as
the Head of the Small and Medium Loans Department
at the Airport Branch of the bank, where he worked
until March 2006. For the period of March to July
of 2006, Mr. Gasanov acted as the Head of the
Loan Products Development Department. Since July
2006, he has been the Head of the Retail Banking
Department, which includes the development of
plastic cards, deposit business and consumer lending
at AccessBank. Mr. Gasanov received his higher
education at Istanbul University and the Azerbaijan
State Economic University. He obtained his Bachelor’s
and Master’s degrees in Banking and Credit. Mr.
Gasanov is Azerbaijani and is fluent in Azeri,
Russian and English.

Mr Elshan Hajiyev,
Finance Manager & Chief Accountant.
Joined AccessBank in August 2002 to set-up and
head the accounting department. Mr. Hajiyev is
responsible for drafting accounting procedures
for the bank, adaptation of the LFS MicroBank
IT System to meet local accounting and legal standards,
management of the accounting department and the
day-to-day accounting of AccessBank. Mr. Hajiev
has been a member of AccessBank’s Management Board
since the foundation of the bank. Prior to joining
AccessBank, Mr. Hajiyev worked for six years with
HSBC Bank in Baku as a Financial Control Supervisor
and also worked for the Industrial Investment
Bank of Azerbaijan in Baku and Menatep Bank in
Moscow. He has a diploma in Financial Services
Management issued by the Institute of Financial
Services (Chartered Institute of Bankers, UK).
Mr. Hajiyev is Azeri and is fluent in Azeri, Russian
and English. |
