In November 2011, The Banker named AccessBank ‘The Bank of the Year in Azerbaijan’. The Banker's Bank of the Year Awards celebrate the achievements of the most innovative, dedicated, creative, resilient and ambitious banks in each region of the world, and across 147 countries.

 

In July 2011, AccessBank was declared "The Best Bank of Azerbaijan" by Euromoney Magazine for the second consecutive year. The Euromoney Award is one of the most prestigious in the world, made up of the most advanced banks and microfinance institutions from over 100 countries.

 

In May 2011, Global Finance Magazine named AccessBank as "The Best Bank of Azerbaijan" based on the growth of assets and profitability as well as customer service, competitive pricing, and product innovation.

On October 21, 2010 the Standard & Poor's Rating Agency named AccessBank as "The Most Transparent Bank of Azerbaijan" in inaugural Transparency & Disclosure (T&D) Survey of Azerbaijani Banks. These investigations covered the 30 biggest Azerbaijani banks, or 96% of the total banking assets in Azerbaijan, using the online, publicly available annual reports and data publications.

 

In 2010 AccessBank was declared "The Best Bank of Azerbaijan" by Euromoney Magazine. The Euromoney Award is one of the most prestigious in the world, made up of the most advanced banks and microfinance institutions from over 100 countries. The awarding committee highlighted AccessBank’s efforts to serve middle and low-income Azerbaijani households, as well as the Bank’s work in promoting economic diversification, entrepreneurship, and reducing poverty.

In June 2010 АccessBank was awarded for good practice in the areas of Customer Protection and Prevention of Over-indebtedness at the annual conference of the Micro Finance Center (MFC) held in Kazakhstan.

On May 24, 2010, Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX), the leading supplier of business-services information in the microfinance sector awarded AccessBank with "Five Diamonds," its highest transparency rating.

On February 22, 2010, at the Azeri Business Award presentation ceremony Dr Andrew Pospielovsky, the Chairman of the AccessBank Management Board was named "The Banker of the Year". The award was based on Dr Pospielovsky's significant contribution to strengthening the Azerbaijani citizens' trust in the banking sector during the global financial crisis.

On February 15, 2010 the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association named AccessBank "The Best Microfinance Institution to Work For". This award is based on the staff policy of AccessBank, which outlines the recruitment and training of university graduates who, in most cases, have no work experience in the banking sector.

On June 5, 2009 the international Financial Times publication named AccessBank one of the most sustainable banks in the developing markets of Eastern Europe. This award recognizes sustainability, leadership, and innovation as demonstrated by the institution's operations.

On 8 January 2009 AccessBank was ranked as the 41st best microfinance institution in the world by the Microfinance Information Exchange, Inc. (MIX) in its annual list. This rating is based on profitability, efficiency and transparency in the activities of the Microfinance Institutions.

AccessBank’s Agro Loan product was named "Best New Product" at the annual conference of the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association on 23 September 2008. These loans are designed for farmers and people dealing working in the agricultural sector.
