AccessBank joins Campaign for Client Protection

AccessBank announces that it has joined the International Campaign for Client Protection

Baku, May 15, 2009. Today, AccessBank announced that it has joined the International Campaign for Client Protection. The Campaign was launched in the spring of 2009 as a collaborative initiative endorsed and led by leaders in the financial services industry and hosted by The Center for Financial Inclusion. The Campaign for Client Protection seeks to unite microfinance providers worldwide to ensure that low-income clients are protected from harmful financial products and are treated fairly. By joining the campaign AccessBank publicizes its commitment to six client protection principles, which include: avoidance of over-indebtedness, transparent pricing, appropriate collections practices, ethical staff behavior, mechanisms for redress of grievances, and privacy of client data.

General Manager Andrew Pospielovsky announcing that AccessBank has joined the campaign, said “From its foundation in 2002, AccessBank has built all its business on the principles of responsible banking, including the six principles endorsed by the campaign, especially transparency in pricing and all our operations, not over-indebting our clients, and on pursuing the highest ethical standards. We are proud to be joining and supporting this campaign and publicizing our commitment”.
