AccessBank Launches the Fourth Edition of “Access2Success” to Support Women Entrepreneurs

4 November 2025
AccessBank announces the launch of the fourth edition of its “Access2Success” program, aimed at strengthening the business skills, management capabilities, and financial inclusion of women entrepreneurs. The initiative is implemented with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

This year, nearly 300 women entrepreneurs applied to participate in the program, and based on the established selection criteria, 50 participants were admitted. The program provides participants with opportunities to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in business management, leadership, sales strategies, marketing communications, and legal compliance. Training sessions are delivered by experienced local experts with extensive professional backgrounds in these areas.

The program’s objectives are to enhance the role of women entrepreneurs within the business ecosystem, strengthen their ability to build sustainable business models, and promote women’s leadership. Access2Success plays a significant role in empowering women economically and contributing to inclusive economic development in Azerbaijan.

“For over 23 years, AccessBank has supported the growth of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, with a particular focus on promoting entrepreneurship among women. Today, approximately 20% of our business portfolio consists of women-led businesses. The launch of the fourth edition of the Access2Success program reflects our continued commitment to this strategic priority. The program not only helps women entrepreneurs enhance their skills and knowledge but also strengthens their active participation in business and their economic contribution,” said Renat Gumbatov, Member of the Management Board and Chief Business Officer at AccessBank.

“Supporting MSMEs is a core EBRD priority and we achieve this by combining financial solutions with tailored advice and training to help businesses grow. Our Advice for Small Businesses programme plays a vital role, offering consulting and mentoring to boost competitiveness and innovation. We are particularly proud of empowering women entrepreneurs through our Women in Business initiative, which provides access to finance, skills and networks. Today’s training series with AccessBank reflects this commitment. We are deeply grateful to the European Union for supporting and financing these efforts”, said Mikhail Grechikho, Associate Director, FI Business Leader for Caucasus/EBRD.

The Access2Success program was first launched in 2022. Since its inception, more than 160 women entrepreneurs have participated, representing sectors including consulting, tourism, education, healthcare, and others. Participants undergo six-week intensive training programs, gaining practical knowledge in business management, leadership, sales and marketing strategies, as well as personal and professional development.
