AccessBank joins the project on supporting women entrepreneurs in rural areas of Azerbaijan

Your local European Bank – AccessBank, is pleased to announce its participation in a project dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs in various regions of Azerbaijan.

Funded by the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, the project is implemented by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) with the support of AccessBank. The project aims to support the social and economic participation and leadership of women by enhancing their knowledge and skills, fostering professional networks, and expanding their economic opportunities in entrepreneurship and quality employment.

The project commenced in October 2022 and will continue until September 2024. Within its scope, training sessions are organized in different cities and rural areas of the country, including Baku, Ganja, Khachmaz, Kurdamir, Lankaran, Salyan, and Shaki.

To date, the project has engaged 9 individuals in training sessions held in Salyan, 18 in Khachmaz, and 19 in Baku. The 10-days training on “Women in Business” in Khachmaz covered various topics including leadership, communication, financial and sales forecasting, marketing, financial planning, and business planning. Additionally, a training session “Managing Stress in Business” was conducted for women entrepreneurs at the Head Office of AccessBank in Baku, providing insights into stress management techniques.

Yuliya Jurenkova, Head of Marketing Department, and Elmaddin Hajiyev, Micro and Agro Clients Manager, were engaged by AccessBank as trainers for the project.

The outcomes of the training sessions have been promising, and we are dedicated to continuing to provide women entrepreneurs with the necessary resources and knowledge to advance  their businesses.
