AccessBank, one of Azerbaijan’s leading financial institutions in micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) financing, has announced the successful expansion of its existing loan facility with the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), securing a second tranche of USD 10 million to further support MSME lending.

The funds will be directed toward the support and development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises across the country. This financing will further strengthen AccessBank’s role as a key driver of sustainable economic growth in Azerbaijan, enabling broader access to financial resources for local entrepreneurs.

“Supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises is one of AccessBank’s strategic priorities. This new financing from the EBRD will help us expand access to capital for our clients, particularly in response to growing demand for MSME lending. We are proud of our long-standing partnership with the EBRD, which is built on shared values and a joint commitment to sustainable economic development,” said Davit Tsiklauri, Chairman of the Management Board at AccessBank.

The EBRD’s financing also aims to promote inclusive economic growth and strengthen the role of the private sector in Azerbaijan. This partnership reflects the shared dedication of both institutions to supporting entrepreneurship, fostering job creation, and enhancing financial resilience in the region.
